BAA scores own goal

Airport operator BAA has scored something of an own goal with it's ham-fisted attempt to ban protest at Heathrow airport. While BAA had applied for an injunction to halt protests organised by a range of organisations, it has instead only won a High Court injunction banning three named protesters and members of the anti-aviation protest group Plane Stupid from the airport.

As thousands of campaigners prepare for this years Camp for Climate Action and associated day of mass protest (mid-day 19th August to mid-day 20th August) thousands more will now be aware of BAA's attempt at restricting peaceful protest and is likely to increase numbers in attendance at the camp.
