Google loses L

Edgy design claims made for chocolate

Google has mislaid it's "L". The unlikely re-branding occurred with the adoption of yet another themed logo. Users noticed the seeming omission in the logo which included a chocolate dipped strawberry in place of one of the Google "G's".

Readers of The Register promptly went on a search for the missing "L". One enterprising soul contacted the Corporate Communications Co-ordinator for Google, Laura Ainsworth, enquiring whether the green stalk of the Strawberry was perhaps the missing letter. This was confirmed by Ms Ainsworth who said:
"You are right, the green stalk is indeed the "L".
This is a new and edgy design and I think it looks fab - I hope you agree
L"
