It's been an exciting week what with one thing and another. To cut a long story short I've been in Aberdeen Maternity Hospital for the past week. I'll spare you all the details other than on Monday night my partner was admitted to AMH and on Wednesday evening we were parents to a beautiful baby daughter. While it was our plan to have a home birth, as the Scottish bard put it "The best laid schemes o' mice and men gang 'aft agley [awry]".
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at AMH for the outstanding care received. We would especially like to thank the midwives and in particular our community midwife Fiona.
